School Hours
All students are expected to attend school during the following hours:
Mornings 07:55 – 11:10
Afternoons 12:10 – 14:00
(Some forms may be requested to work a 9th period.)
9th Period 14:00 – 14:35
Attendance
- Pupils shall attend punctually and regularly
- Tardiness on the part of the pupils shall subject the delinquents to such penalty as, in the opinion of the Head-teacher, the nature of the case may require
- Pupils on returning to school after absence must give their Form Teacher, a written explanation for their absence. The Form Teacher will make this known to the subject teacher of the pupils and the Head-teacher. If this reason is not satisfactory, the Head-teacher shall communicate with the parent/guardian, and in the event of no satisfactory explanation, he/she may refuse the pupil admission thereafter.
Movement around the School
- Visitors must report to the ‘GUARD’ at the gate for permission to enter
- Movement along stairways, corridors and between the two buildings must be orderly and on the left hand side. Within the buildings students must walk and not run
- Students must dismount from bicycles at the gate
- Cyclists must wheel their bicycles on the school premises
- Buildings and Grounds
- Under no circumstances will pupils loiter or play in classrooms
- There must be no loitering by the school gates
- Pupils must not remain in the classrooms during the break periods
- Pupils must not be found on the school premises after 15:00 hours unless duly authorised by the Head-teacher or a member of staff
- Pupils must keep to the buildings and playing areas allotted to them by the Head-teacher
- Pupils must not leave the school premises during lesson time without the permission of the Head-teacher or Deputy Head-teacher (LICHAS) in the lower school
